2025年5月28日，由蒙古自然遗产基金会（MNLF）主办、山水自然保护中心（SSCC）参与的雪豹研究与保护网络交流会在蒙古国乌兰巴托顺利举行。此次交流会旨在加强雪豹保护领域的国际经验分享，交流最新研究成果与保护实践经验，探讨当前面临的挑战及未来合作机遇。

On May 28th, 2025, the Snow Leopard Research and Conservation Networking Event was successfully held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Hosted by the Mongolian Nature’s Legacy Foundation (MNLF), Shan Shui Conservation Center (SSCC) together with Mongolian institues and organizations participated the networking event. The event aimed to enhance international exchange in the field of snow leopard research and conservation, share the latest research findings and practical conservation experiences, and explore current challenges and future opportunities for collaboration.

来自蒙古国科学院生物学研究所、雪豹保护基金会、国际雪豹网络、大自然保护协会蒙古代表处、国际野生生物保护学会蒙古代表处、野生动物倡议组织、世界自然基金会蒙古代表处以及阿尔泰研究所等机构的代表齐聚一堂。李雪阳博士代表山水自然保护中心进行了演讲，详细介绍了SSCC在雪豹保护领域的关键工作、当前优先事项以及未来合作机会。随后，MNLF也进行了简短介绍，展示了其在蒙古国环境保护方面的成果与计划。

Representatives from organizations such as the Institute of Biology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, the Snow Leopard Conservation Foundation, the Snow Leopard Network, TNC Mongolia, WCS Mongolia, Wildlife Initiative, WWF Mongolia, and the Altai Institute gathered together. Dr. Li Xueyang delivered a presentation on behalf of SSCC, detailing SSCC’s key work, current priorities, and future collaboration opportunities in snow leopard conservation. MNLF also gave a brief introduction, showcasing its achievements and plans in environmental conservation in Mongolia.

在主题演讲之后，进入开放讨论环节。与会代表们围绕当前雪豹保护工作中面临的挑战、解决方案以及合作机遇展开了热烈讨论。各方代表积极分享了各自组织在雪豹保护方面的经验和见解，探讨了如何通过跨国合作来提高保护效率和影响力。讨论中，许多代表强调了加强国际合作、共享数据和技术的重要性，以及如何更好地与当地社区合作，实现可持续的保护目标。山水的项目官员姜楠和项目协调员罗玫也参与了交流。最后，执行主任史湘莹博士总结了此次交流，并展望了未来的合作与发展方向。

Following the keynote presentations, the event moved into an open discussion session. Representatives engaged in a lively discussion on the challenges faced in current snow leopard conservation efforts, potential solutions, and opportunities for collaboration. Participants actively shared their experiences and insights in snow leopard conservation, exploring ways to enhance cross-border cooperation to improve conservation efficiency and impact. Many representatives emphasized the importance of strengthening international cooperation, sharing data and technology, and working more effectively with local communities to achieve sustainable conservation goals. Jiang Nan, the project officer from SSCC, and Luo Mei, the project coordinator, also participated in the exchange. Finally, Dr. Shi Xiangying, the Executive Director of SSCC, concluded the exchange and outlined the future directions for cooperation and development.

此次交流会的成功举办，不仅为各参与机构提供了一个分享和学习的平台，也为未来的国际交流合作奠定了坚实基础。通过此次交流，各方增进了对彼此工作的了解，明确了未来合作的方向和重点。未来，山水自然保护中心将继续拓展国际交流合作渠道，与更多国际组织和机构携手，共同致力于雪豹这一珍稀物种的保护工作，为维护生物多样性和生态平衡贡献力量。

The successful hosting of this networking event not only provided a platform for participating organizations to share and learn from each other but also laid a solid foundation for future international exchange and cooperation. Through this exchange, participants gained a deeper understanding of each other’s work and clarified the direction and focus for future collaboration. Moving forward, SSCC will continue to expand its international cooperation and exchange channels, working hand in hand with more international organizations and institutions to commit to the protection of this rare species and contribute to the maintenance of biodiversity and ecological balance.
